With This Ring...

Are you hoping for a spectacular ring this Valentine's Day?
Well, you could always make your own!

Here is how I did it:

1.  You will need a ring base, a bezel cup and a glass dome the same dimensions as the bezel.

2.  Find an image you like for your ring.  I used a heart from a deck of cards and, of course, some glitter.  Glue your paper image into the bezel using craft glue.  Completely cover the paper with the craft glue in order to seal.  Let it dry completely.

3.  Once dry, use Diamond Glaze to adhere the glass dome into the bezel cup.  Let dry completely.  Once dry, use E-6000 glue to set the bezel onto the ring.

Wallpaper Hearts

What does one do when given 3 fab books of Wallpaper samples?
One makes Valentines, of course.

Here's how I did it:

1. Score some great Wallpaper samples.

2. Cut the samples into cards to fit envelopes (hint: I OFTEN find loose envelopes at my local thrift stores or estate sales.)

3.  Cut heart shapes with heart punch.  Use these along with feathers, ink stamps, buttons, ribbons or anything you might have around to decorate your amazing handmade valentines.

Oval and Oval Again

There is something so old- fashioned about an oval pendant.
There is something so old-fashioned about love.
Why not combine the two?

Here's how I did it:

1. You will need a double-sided oval pendant.  A bead, findings (a headpin & jumpring) and chain.

2.  Find a background image you like for your oval.  Cut it out using an oval punch, or trace the shape and cut it out with scissors.

3.  Find the words you'd like to use and cut them out.

4.  Glue the cut oval and words into the oval.  Cover the paper completely with craft glue to seal.  Let the glue dry completely.  Once dry, cover with Diamond Glaze.

5. The pendant is double sided.  Use your imagination for the other side.

The Key to...

What do you hold the key to?  What would you like the key to?
Why not express yourself in a DIY project?

It's easy.  Just follow the directions, and you will have one fab necklace.

1.  Cut a background the same size as the key charm opening (key charms available at Mish Mash.)  Spell your word with cut letters.

2.  Use craft glue to glue your letters onto the circle background.  Glue the circle into the key charm.  Cover the entire surface of the paper circle with craft glue (craft glue also available at Mish Mash.)  Allow to dry completely.

3. Cover the sealed and dry paper with glaze.  Check for bubbles.  Allow to dry completely.  Diamond glaze is what I used for this project (diamond glaze is available at Mish Mash.)

4.  Add jump ring to completed key charm.  Put on a chain.  Enjoy!
